The majority of terminal issues, especially connection issues, are resolved by a simply "power cycle".
Unplug the terminal from power for 10-15 seconds and power it back up.
After it completely powers back up, try a transaction.
**VX520 users... when your terminal powers on, press F3 "Soft Pay" activate the app.
